We were very disappointed with our experience upon arrival. The entry code we received in advance did not work, and we were unable to open the lock. We had to call 800-544-0300, but getting through to a live operator was extremely difficult — the automated system did not respond properly to the prompts and codes we entered.
After finally reaching a representative, we were given a new code and were able to open the door — only to discover that the lock’s batteries were dead, and we couldn’t lock the unit again. We had to contact the operator a second time. Fortunately, a technician arrived within 15 minutes and replaced the batteries.
Later that evening, when we returned to the apartment, we found that there was no hot water. Thankfully, we had the technician’s phone number by then. He guided us to a locked utility closet where we found and opened a hot water valve — something that should have been prepared in advance for guests.
Overall, the unit itself was fine, but these logistical issues — especially after a long journey — created a very stressful start to our stay. We hope these problems will be addressed for future guests.
